Burp Burp Burp

It's Sunday, the Holy Day, the Day of Rest, and what am I doing?

Blogging. Duh.

I remember back at the NIH how the woman behind me took out her knitting and did this weird version of throwing her yarn, but she would hand it from right to left then back. I thought throwing at all made things difficult (even though that's how I do it) but sheesh. Whatever she was making was gorgeous, though.

I'm making a baby-to-be-blanket! Actually, I'm making two, one boy colored and one girl colored. I'll find out at the end of September which blanket to keep making, because at the rate I'm going I won't be done by then. I think that's the most exciting part of the pregnancy, finding out the gender. It'll definately be more exciting than my constant nausea, heartburn, burping (which I had NEVER done before now) and vomiting episodes. Down 15 pounds, and I STILL feel fat. Probably because everything is shrinking except my gut; I look like I have a beerbelly, INHO.

Anyway, I have between 12 and 16 squares done for the blankets, and 2 more cast on, so I should work on that - I need 98. And then I have to figure out how to put it together, cause everything I've ever made has been one big block.

Oh! And school starts back up in 4 days.
It's the final countdown! (Cue pyrotechnics)

August in the Suburbs

11 days until school starts. I never thought about it while I was a student, but do you have any idea what TEACHERS go through during this countdown? I'm just as nervous about new students as I was about new peers! I've had some.... colorful (ehmm) characters the past couple of years, and I'm always a little worried about personality conflicts. We will just have to see.
In other news, I've been on 100% bedrest since we got back from DC. :( Today was the first day there was no morning sickness, and thank God for it! I really wanted to get some knitting done before school, but with training all this week, and my sudden loathe of my current WIP, I'm pretty sure nothings going to be accomplished. If I frog one more project I'm going to give up on knitting altogether. (That was a joke. Although.....)
11 days must be a joke. I only have 1 weekend left! Jeeze Louise.
